SO SAD....

Well...I have no pictures...I am sad to say that my camera was stolen. And, of course, since it was stolen, everything that has happened has been picture worthy :). I hope to get a new one soon, and hopefully until then I can steal some off my mom's camera, but for today I will just tell you about a picture that I took.
While we were in Missoula we would go to the Carousel often. They had the greatest sign there that I had to take a picture of it. It said,

"UNATTENDED CHILDREN WILL BE GIVEN AN EXPRESSO AND A FREE PUPPY"

It made me laugh every time!

I just thought this was so cute. The kids found these hats in the house we are staying at in Montana, and they had a blast playing with them.

Vacation at Glacier National Park

We have been in Montana for the month of August and it has given us lots of opportunites to have some great family time. We took two days and went to Glacier National Park and had a great time. We took a 5 mile hike one day past signs that said 'mountain lions frequent this area' and 'entering grizzly bear country'. Mike told me that was really nothing to worry about...I worried about it for the first mile, and then I was so tired and hungry (Madison hiked about 1/4 of a mile and then we had Brennan in a backpack and carried Madison) that I didn't care if I got eaten! The best part of the trip was sitting on the shore of the lake and watching the kids play. Maddie spent an hour trying to catch 'Nemo' and Brennan was fully content to throw rocks into the lake.

Odds and Ends from the last few weeks

With packing and moving I have been a terrible blogger, so here is my attempt to fill in some of the holes from the last few weeks. This is Madison with her little friend Julia at our end of the year stint retreat.




A last, and wonderful I might add, trip to Epcot, The Animal Kingdom and Magic Kingdom. On our last trip to Disney we were able to watch the shuttle take off! IT was a such fun night!

All dressed up for the fourth. We were in our neighborhood parade...sort of, we could not actually keep up, and then we enjoyed fireworks at Church.

Moving again...

Well, we are finishing up our STINT year here in Orlando and gearing up to move again. We are trying to take in EVERYTHING Orlando has to offer before we go...

WE CAN'T GET ENOUGH OF DISNEY!! I don't even know who these bears are, but we take pics with everyone we see!!!

This is our Life Group that we have met with all year. We got to go out to Downtown Disney and see the Cirque du Soleil a couple of weeks ago - amazing!!!
This week we had a great lunch at the Lake Nona Country Club for our last Development time. It was beautiful there. It was just this time last year that we were moving out of Samara...has it been a year already????

Princess Belle

Madison prefers to go by 'Belle' now since she met her at Disney! And Brennan is pretty sure that Cinderella is not real....

Stop talking on the phone mom!!!

Kids do have thier ways of communicating even without words! I was talking to Grandpa on the phone, and Brennan was not interested in sharing me...so he got my attention. He acts so innocent...

Beach Adventures

Here is a glimpse of a fun afternoon at the beach. Maddie built sand castles the entire time, and Brennan was very content just to roll around in and eat the sand.

Egg Hunt at Lake Hart

We had a great time at the Egg Hunt up at the office. The kids enjoyed the hunt, face painting, lunch and we enjoyed the Easter story from Vonette!

Easter Sunday!

The kids were not too into pictures on Easter morning, but here is a glimpse of our easter morning...

Palm Sunday

After months of crying and clinging to us when it was time to go to Sunday School, we are thrilled that Madison has not only settled into her class, but has really grown to love it. She sang her heart out at practice for the Palm Sunday service (see previous video), but I was not sure how she would react when it came to singing in front of the entire Church. Well, she was not shy all!! You can't see her all that well in this clip, but if you look to the left side she is the one in the polka dots. I picked the clip at the end of the song because she was cracking us up - she would not stop bowing after the songs.

This is so cute. Madison LOVES to sing and she took her chance at Church this week while practicing for Sunday's service.

Maddie's Hula Dance

Madison's dancing the hula this time! We went on the "It's a Small World" at Disney and now Hula dancing is a part of our family life.

Bikes and Scooters!

Bikes and scooters are the big thing at the playground right now, and Brennan wants in the action so bad! He LOVES to wear helmets and gets on a bike or scooter any time he has a chance.

I really just love this picture...so I thought I would share it here. A few weeks ago after bath time the kids were running around playing and having the best time together. We were having a great time watching them and laughing as they showed off all their silliness. And, as I was thinking of silliness, I thought I would add a few of the funny things that Madison has been saying recently. This is real life 'LAMP' (that stands for Language Acquisition Made Practical for those who have not had to read the book!):
Madison:
‘look, cow dogs!’ – in reference to two small white dogs with black spots when we were out taking a family walk the other day.

‘I want to watch the dripseys’ – referring to Madeline and the Gypsy movie

‘who’s that mom, the very godmother?’- referring to the Fairy Godmother in Cinderella

I was changing maddie’s pants and said your pants are wet..do you know what that means? She said what? I said it means that you went pee in your pants. To which she responded, “and that’s against the law! But, the law did not get me this time.”

Recently Madison has been saying: ‘Mommy, I figured out my mind!’ –meaning I made up my mind. A few days ago, Bren was crying and she said mommy, I think Brennan is crying because he figured out his mind. I think he is sad because daddy is not here.

Maddie was eating cereal and she looked at me and said, I need to use my hands now because it’s too hard to catch with a spoon.

I made French toast for breakfast today and I asked Madison if she wanted some jelly, or butter or peanut butter on her toast and she looked at me and said, “No mom. I just want it French.”

Brennan's First Haircut!!!

It wasn't easy for me to to cut off Brennan's baby locks, but I finally did it. I feel like he is growing up so fast. I am trying to talk myself into the fact that he is a toddler and not a baby anymore!

Brennan's 'Stevie Wonder'

This video cracks me up. Check out Brennan in the background doing his best Stevie Wonder impersonation. The best part is that, at the end, it becomes clear that all of his 'moves' come from the cool glasses, because when Madison takes them from him it is as if all of the 'power' goes out of him. I hope you enjoy it as much as we have.

Portland, Oregon

My parents watched the kids last week, while Mike and I went up to Portland to check out a job opportunity. It was cold and wet, but we saw some amazing waterfalls and had a great time overall.
