Which one of these things doesn't belong....

When my mom was here she and Brennan had several 'photo shoots'. I was amazed that he really got into it and actually followed her directions and let her photograph him...can you tell which poses were mom's idea and which were Brennan's??? hehe... The other day he was looking in the mirror while we were brushing his teeth and he asked me, "Mommy, am I looking at the mirror or is the mirror looking at me?" :) My little philosopher.

My mom and dad were here for the 4th and we enjoyed the parade in our neighborhood. The kids loved marching around with their flags, but by mid-day the flags had to disappear because they had turned into weapons...sigh...

A GREAT WEEKEND

We had a great family weekend here in Austin. It was filled with yard work, soccer and family fun. The kids got new soccer balls while out with dad, so on Saturday morning we went to the park and played soccer. Afterwards everyone pitched in to work in the yard. Mike and the kids mowed and I trimmed all the hedges!! It was a good feeling - but by the end of the day my body hated met and reminded me that I was 29 weeks prego!! After naps we went swimming over at Uncle Jack's house and then Jack treated us to an amazing dinner of Seafood Fettuccini Alfredo(he is a GREAT cook)

Some highlights from the last month...

We have had a busy month, house hunting, and finally moving and getting settled into our new place in Austin. Here are a few highlights:

We spent Saturday afternoon at Lake Travis with a group of International Students...fun, but very hot!

Our little balerina twirled around our new house while spiderman (Brennan) 'threw webs on her'. I hope to upload the video soon...I love to see the difference between boys and girls.



We had the joy of seeing Angela and Petya and their new little baby Kostya this weekend. He is SO cute, and the kids are crazy about him. The first thing both of them wanted to know when they woke up this morning was, "Where is Kostya? I need to go in his room and check on him!". In the first picture Brennan is demonstrating how he is going to hold the baby.

Moving 'em to the front yard

The kids are still loving gardening. They moved to the front yard this week...is this child labor? Nana and Papa also bought Brennan a new bike, so now he and Maddie race around the back patio all day.

Hello to Texas

We have enjoyed the warm spring sun in Texas. The kids spend most of the time in Nana's garden...and she puts them to work. They love it. Madison told me she would like our new house to have a backyard like Nana's...I can maybe promise her the grass, but I am not sure my yard will be a thing of beauty. :) Brennan has been working on his golf swing and Madison has been enjoying some story time with Dad. (and -for those of your who are concerned - Brennan's spray bottle is water, not Clorox :) )
